The Plateno Group was founded in 2013 in China after the 7 Days Inn hotel brand which was launched in 2005.

These operations accounted for the bulk of the revenues until 2013 when the first midscale and luxury hotels were opened.

This was followed in 2014 by the first international hotel openings in Thailand and Malaysia followed in 2015 by the first three hotel openings in Indonesia with additional contracts signed in Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

Long term growth plans include continued aggressive global and regional expansion, replicating the power and synergy of our home network in China.

Today we arepart of Jin Jiang and together are ranked as the number one hotel group in Asia and 5th globally in terms of total hotels with over 6000 hotels in over 300 destinations, a room count in excess of 640,000 across 55 countries and a loyalty club of over 80 million members.

We are also the exclusive development partner and operator of 500 Hampton by Hilton hotels to be rolled out across China over the next eight years.

Plateno Group has the primary goal to be a leader in the lodging industry both in the Asian region and globally. The company primarily operates upscale, midscale and budget hotels and resorts as well as serviced apartments and branded residences. We also engage in the development, ownership, franchising and leasing of lodging properties. Within the next five years our goal is to own or operate over 6000 properties globally with the bulk of those in the Asian region. We are convinced that Asian hospitality is highly exportable and scalable. Operational Structure

Plateno Group is run on by a “hands-on” executive team providing support services in the areas of development, operations, finance and administration, technical services, human resources, sales, marketing, product development, reservations and IT.

Business Planning and Supervision

An annual business plan is prepared for each hotel, taking advantage of market opportunities. Each hotel general manager and his team produce an annual plan and budget which is reviewed by the Plateno Group executive team. The annual plan and budget are presented to the owner and once approved, executed by the on-site property management team.

All hotels operate through our company reporting systems, which provide strong corporate financial and procedural controls to monitor operating results and maximize performance and results. Regular visits are made to all hotels by operations, sales and marketing, engineering and training personal to ensure owner and corporate objectives are being met.

The detailed monthly report highlights achievements, trends, outlook, forecasts and threats and opportunities, which allows prompt and quick reaction. Plateno Group’s management philosophy in the running of hotels is simple: a “hands-on” hospitality management style firmly rooted in property-level empowerment, fully supported from our corporate office.

Property Inspection

Nothing is more important than customer service, property cleanliness, and the safety of our guests and associates. We work very hard at meeting the needs of our diversified clientele and at providing them with a safe, clean and comfortable home away from home. All hotels follow strict guidelines for deep cleaning programs, room key control, and overall property and staff cleanliness and safety. All properties are fully inspected by our own team. Through constant inspection and reviews, problem areas are identified, action plans are implemented, and follow-up inspections are performed to ensure compliance with all operating standards and procedures.

Food & Beverage

We pride ourselves on our expertise in food and beverage operations. Plateno Group develops its restaurants and outlets based on well-researched themes attractive to both guests and reflective of the local market. Our philosophy toward food and beverage is that it is more than just a method to support room sales; it is a profit-producing department. Themes and menu development are based on extensive research and experience in providing the customers with what they desire in both ambience and in the actual offering. Additionally, our quality and food safety management programs are developed for all levels of the food service operation.

Technical Assistance

Plateno Group offers project management advice and expertise in hotel development, drawing from a wide- ranging experience in number of successfully executed hotel developments and renovations completed by our in-house team. Each detail, from initial marketing surveys and product design, through purchasing, receiving, construction consultation and equipment and systems installation, is professionally managed.


With our meticulous approach to details and efficient cost controls, our procurement team supports owners in projects for new developments and renovations for managed properties. Support of a project includes assistance for negotiation of new purchasing agreements, the purchase of furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E), operating supplies, telephone and computer systems, and installation of comprehensive property management systems.
